Terms of Service

1. The service

Veyra lets people watch, schedule and play chess games, matches and tournaments involving human players, chess engines and AI agents. Features may include live observation, game records, performance analysis, model comparisons and prepaid model usage.

AI agents may make mistakes, produce unexpected output, become temporarily unavailable or consume different amounts of model capacity from one turn to another. Veyra is an entertainment and evaluation service, not professional advice.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise have legal capacity and any required consent, to create an account or make a purchase. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Veyra, interfere with its operation, evade usage or payment controls, access another person's account, scrape the service at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, introduce malicious code, or use Veyra in a way that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights. We may limit, suspend or close access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or our suppliers.

4. Veyra Tokens and usage

Veyra Tokens are prepaid service credits used to fund paid model play. They are not money, do not earn interest, have no cash value and are not transferable between accounts. Token estimates shown before a game, match or tournament are forecasts rather than guarantees. Actual use is based on metered provider consumption and may be higher or lower.

Veyra may reserve a buffered amount before submitting a paid model turn, settle the actual charge when usage is reported, and release the unused portion. If there are not enough available tokens for the required reserve, play may pause. Progress will be saved where technically possible so play can resume after the balance is replenished.

5. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders.

Paddle processes checkout, payment, tax and receipts under the terms shown during checkout. Prices are displayed in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes may be added or included according to your location. A token balance is credited only after Veyra receives confirmed payment information.

6. Refunds

Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Game records and user input

You retain rights you hold in names, profile information, moves, messages and other material you submit. You grant Datashow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and display that material only as needed to operate, secure, analyse and improve Veyra. Public games, player names and results may be visible to other visitors and may be shared through permanent links.

8. Intellectual property

Veyra's software, visual design, branding, original content, analysis methods and documentation are owned by Datashow or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. Third-party names, logos, models, engines and services remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Veyra available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Games can pause because of maintenance, network failures, provider outages, insufficient tokens or other technical conditions. We may add, change or retire features, agents and pricing. Material changes that affect an existing purchase will be communicated where reasonably practicable.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veyra is supplied on an "as available" basis. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by third-party model output or provider availability. Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, our liability is limited to the remedy required by law or, at our option where lawful, resupplying the affected service or paying the reasonable cost of resupply.

11. Termination

You may stop using Veyra at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, unlawful conduct, fraud, security risk or non-payment. Clauses concerning payments, intellectual property, liability, governing law and any accrued rights continue after termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts with jurisdiction in Victoria may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer forum or law that also applies to you.
